Total compensation drops for top execs at Casey’s
The top five officers of Casey’s General Stores Inc. all received less in total compensation for the fiscal year that ended April 30 than in the previous year, according to the Ankeny-based company’s proxy statement.
President and CEO Robert Myers received a salary increase to $726,000 from $660,000 in 2010, but his total compensation – including stock awards, an incentive plan and deferred compensation earnings – fell to $1.22 million. A year earlier, he received $1.48 million in total compensation. The company also reached an agreement that “generally provides” for Myers’ continued service as president and CEO through April 30, 2013.
Chief Operating Officer Terry Handley received $557,484 in total compensation, down from $779,735. Chief Financial Officer William Walljasper received $496,980, compared with $682,184 the previous year. Senior Vice President Sam Billmeyer received $475,796, down from $689,296. Senior Vice President Julia Jackowski received $388,293, down from $410,747.
