Rotary International president to speak in West Des Moines
Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith will visit West Des Moines next month to speak about the importance of youths in Rotary service.
On Oct. 23, the Rotary Club of Greater Des Moines will host the event, which will take place at the West Des Moines Marriott, 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway. Tickets cost $50 and all proceeds will benefit the student international convention fund of South Central Rotary Youth Exchange. A cocktail reception begins at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30. Rotary International is a service organization made up of 1.2 million business, professional and community leaders. Drew Engelbrecht is president of the Rotary Club of Greater Des Moines, which in 2009 became the first newly chartered club in District 6000 in more than a decade.
