Distressed property listings to grow
Interest in distressed commercial properties is growing around the globe, PropertyWire reported. Respondents to a survey conducted by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said they expect the United States, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Hungary and the United Kingdom to show the largest increases in distressed listings during the next quarter. The institution’s Global Distressed Property Monitor report for the third quarter of 2010 also showed that 20 countries experienced more interest in distressed properties during that time period, compared with 11 in the second quarter.
