The John Stoddard Cancer Center, a service of UnityPoint Health-Des Moines, and GreenState Credit Union are partnering to provide support to individuals and families affected by cancer. GreenState Credit Union is committing $100,000 to the It Takes You fundraising campaign to support the new financial navigator position at the Stoddard Cancer Center. The financial navigator focuses on uncovering and addressing insurance challenges, helping establish payment plans, answering billing questions and leading patients and their caregivers to financial assistance programs. GreenState Credit Union will also serve as the presenting partner for the annual Rally Against Cancer fundraising event through 2027. Since 2000, Rally Against Cancer has raised more than $6.5 million to support the programs and services that the Stoddard Cancer Center provides free of charge to patients and families. The 2024 Rally Against Cancer is scheduled for Jan. 27.
