ChildServe, a specialty pediatric health care provider for children and young adults with special health care needs, raised more than $181,000 during its 30th annual golf outing on Monday at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines. Over 200 golfers participated in the event, which was presented by LCS and the Weitz Co., and proceeds will support ChildServe’s annual fund. Fundraising from the golf outing will help provide winter necessities and groceries to families in need. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of our event sponsors, golf participants, donors and our event co-chairs Brett Bosworth and Jim Hagenbucher, ChildServe will be able to provide things like warm coats, snow boots, socks and food for the children and families we serve who need them most,” Teri Wahlig, CEO of ChildServe, said in a prepared statement.
