The 2023-24 Leadership Iowa class will include 40 participants from across the state who will travel to communities throughout Iowa for a series of monthly two-day sessions from October to June. Leadership Iowa, an issues-awareness program offered by the Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation, allows participants to explore an important topic as it relates to Iowa by way of discussions with subject-matter experts, interactive experiences, industry tours and more. The topics and host cities include the opening retreat in October in Winterset, agriculture and renewable resources in November in Carroll County, manufacturing in December in Fairfield, government in January in Des Moines, health care in March in Dubuque, education in April in Grinnell and workforce and economic development in May in Forest City. The class will graduate at ABI’s annual conference in June 2024 in the Quad Cities.
