The Breakfast Club plans on opening its newest location in Kettlestone Central, a new commercial project under construction at 2285 Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee. The eatery is a part of a chain of restaurants owned and operated by Des Moines-based hospitality group Dark Side of the Spoon, launched by Tom and Annie Baldwin in 2019. The Breakfast Club’s Waukee restaurant will be the chain’s fifth location. There is a Breakfast Club in Ankeny, West Des Moines, Des Moines’ East Village and Minneapolis. The lease for the Waukee location was secured by Caliber Realty brokers Justin Washburn and Juliana Rodgers. Kettlestone Central is designed to be a one-stop destination for Waukee residents – combining residential living with walkable commercial spaces, dining, retail, wellness and public amenities in a master-planned environment. “This town center project is about creating a connected community-somewhere you can dine, shop, experience great entertainment and live – all while supporting a mix of businesses,” Washburn said in a news release. The Breakfast Club is expected to open in early 2026.
