It marks a significant milestone in the airport improvement project, which includes the construction of a new terminal.
Construction on the new garage began in 2023 with The Weitz Co. overseeing the project.
Airport Executive Director Brian Mulcahy said the new parking garage provides travelers with more convenient covered parking.
“This expansion directly supports our long-term vision through the LiftDSM program, making travel to and from the airport easier and more accessible,” Mulcahy said in a news release.
Visitors will notice the parking garage entrance has shifted. They will now access the garage from the right side of the terminal and follow the one-way loop road with signs directing them to either daily or hourly parking.
Paving of the adjacent surface lot is scheduled to begin this month.
Daily and hourly parking rates remain unchanged, the release stated.
