Oscar Health and Hy-Vee have announced a new joint health care benefit, Hy-Vee Health with Oscar, set to launch in Des Moines on Nov. 1. The plan combines Hy-Vee’s network of pharmacies, clinics and grocery rewards with Oscar’s technology-driven insurance platform to provide concierge-style care at a fixed price. Available to an estimated 400,000 workers in the Greater Des Moines area through employer-backed individual coverage arrangements, the offering aims to reduce employer health care costs by 20%–30% and save employees $500 to $1,000 annually. Features include unlimited $0-cost care at Hy-Vee Health Exemplar clinics, affordable prescriptions, access to specialists at MercyOne and personalized support from Oscar Care Guides. The companies said they plan to expand the benefit to other markets over time.
