Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) announced it will receive $1 million in grant funding over two years from the Apollo Opportunity Foundation. Apollo is the global management company for West Des Moines-based Athene. The grant will be used to help the nonprofit reach to more than 11,000 students statewide and strengthen its programs focused on education, employment and life skills. “By supporting financial literacy and career readiness initiatives, we are equipping students with the essential skills and resources they need to thrive in today’s workforce and build resilient futures,”Lauren Coape-Arnold, executive director of the Apollo Opportunity Foundation, said in a prepared statement. iJAG has more than doubled its number of programs at schools across the state from 97 in 2022 to an expected 204 this year.
