Shive-Hattery acquires Texas architecture firm

130 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and Development, Retail and BusinessShive-Hattery, a West Des Moines-based architecture firm, has acquired Montgomery Roth Architecture & Interior Design, a 14-person firm in Houston with expertise in the gaming and hospitality, and multifamily housing markets. The acquisition marks Shive-Hattery’s third design office in the southwestern region after it expanded into Tucson, Ariz., in 2022 followed by a Tempe office in 2023. Acquiring Montgomery Roth complements Shive-Hattery’s existing portfolio of regional and nationwide commercial clients, the company said in a news release. The architecture and engineering firm has 17 design offices in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. Montgomery Roth Architecture & Interior Design will operate as Montgomery Roth, a division of Shive-Hattery, with John Montgomery and Lisa Roth continuing as principals of the Houston office, the release said.
