dsm Magazine recently announced this year’s group of Sages Over 70 honorees, and included are two trailblazing women who between them are recognized as mentors, advocates for women in business and much more. Honored as part of this year’s “class” are Patsy Shors, civic leader, nurse, entrepreneur and advocate for women in business; and Catherine G. Williams (who will be 104 in November), a mentor and a trailblazer in Iowa social services, both professionally and as a prominent volunteer. These women, along with the remaining 2018 Sages Over 70, will be recognized as a reception on Nov. 8 at the downtown Hilton hotel in Des Moines. Tickets to the event are available online.
