DNR seeks comments on water quality
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has scheduled a meeting in Urbandale Jan. 23 to receive comments about Iowa’s water quality. The session is part of a once-every-three-years review of the state’s water quality standards required by the federal government. The DNR plans to address aluminum and other metals and a system of reviews that check whether waters support certain uses. The Urbandale meeting will start at 4 p.m. at the Urbandale Public Library. More information is available online. You may also send comments to Matthew Dvorak, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, 502 E. Ninth St., Des Moines, IA 50319, or by email.
