Lenders helped 2,300 people buy a home last year under IFA programs

Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corp. in Johnston was the Iowa Finance Authority’s top lender last year among a group of banks, credit unions and mortgage companies that helped 2,300 people, the most since 2008, buy a home under IFA mortgage and down payment assistance programs. Iowa Bankers Mortgage issued $23 million in loans to 242 homebuyers.
