Walking Fed to accept drive-through donations for food bank Saturday
Zombies should go hungry, but kids shouldn’t. On Saturday donations of food and cash made to the Food Bank of Iowa during the Walking Fed event will help provide food to students whose school-based meal programs aren’t available during spring break and the summer. Drive-through donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jay’s CD & Hobby, 1421 22nd St. in West Des Moines. Radio station KAZR (Lazer 103.3) staff and zombies will be on hand to take donations. Donations may also be made online using the Walking Fed online grocery store.
