103 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentGreater Des Moines house sales, contracts to buy and sales prices increased in April, the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors said in a release. Sales rose to 1,212 from 1,123 in March, while the median sales price increased 2.5 percent from March to $198,500, a 9 percent increase from April 2017. Pending sales rose to 1,755 in April from 1,676 in March and 1,636 a year ago. Houses that sold in April had been on the market an average 60 days, down from 71 in March. The number of properties currently for sale dropped to 3,127 from 3,141, the previous month.
