Pillar Technologies today won approval for state aid for its planned Forge facility in the new River’s Edge development in Council Bluffs. The software company plans a $1.3 million investment and will get tax benefits as long as it creates at least 30 jobs with a wage of at least $18.18 an hour. Pillar also has Forge centers  in Des Moines and Jefferson. In other action, the Iowa Economic Development Authority board also approved rules for the new Registered Apprenticeship Development Fund established in the Future Ready Iowa Act. Applications are expected to begin in January 2019.
