Six Greater Des Moines business leaders have begun two-year terms on the board of United Way of Central Iowa, effective July 1. The new board members are: Peter Diliberti, executive vice president of Home Lending Capital Markets, Wells Fargo & Co.; Renee Hardman, president and owner of Hardman Consulting; Christine Holmes, senior partner, Ernst and Young; Steve Lacy, executive chairman, Meredith Corp.; Drew Porter, global portfolio leader, Corteva Agriscience; and Charlie Wishman, secretary treasurer, Iowa Federation of Labor. Holmes, who currently works at Ernst and Young’s Chicago office, will be relocating soon to Des Moines. “Our board brings diverse expertise and significant leadership to maximize our efforts in improving the health, education and financial stability of all central Iowans,” said Tom Mahoney, chair of the United Way board and chairman and CEO of ITA Group.
