Host: Polk County Housing Trust Fund alongside Polk County Continuum of Care
About: The Housing Work Group is one of eight work groups supporting the OpportUNITY Plan for central Iowa (Dallas, Polk, and Warren counties) and is being led by Polk County Housing Trust Fund alongside Polk County Continuum of Care. Polk County Housing Trust Fund research suggests a shortage of 8,350 rental units in Polk County. To make housing more affordable to central Iowans with lower incomes, this work group is focused on developing new homes at lower prices and expanding access to existing homes.
