Organizers of a project to improve the Sixth Avenue corridor are seeking proposals for temporary public art and urban prototypes for specific spots along the route. The 6th Avenue Corridor Urban Neighborhood Main Street Program wants interactive, engaging and unique installation art, and bonus points for something that ties to the location, buildings, landscape, diversity or history of the area. Projects that support business development and entrepreneurialism also are encouraged. The works will be along Sixth Avenue between College and Jefferson avenues. The deadline is Sept. 21.
