Greater Des Moines house prices and sales cooled a tad in July

84 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentGreater Des Moines house sales dropped in July to 1,462, down from 1,530 in June; last month’s sales were above July 2017, when 1,324 houses sold, the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors said. The median sales price dropped 2.8 percent to $200,750 from $206,500, but was nearly 7 percent higher than a year ago. Houses that sold last month were on the market an average of 44 days, down from 51 a month earlier. Inventory was up 4 percent in July to 3,664.
