IEDA delays Mason City project financing deadline, again
Mason City has until Sept. 17 to provide details of hotel financing to the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the board decided unanimously on Friday, reports the Mason City Globe Gazette. Although the board agreed with IEDA Program Manager Alaina Santizo’s recommendation, board member David Bernstein told Mason City representatives to “pull together” financing proof for the nearly $39 million River City Renaissance Project. The original deadline was May 18; G8 Development had previously announced secured financing for the hotel loan on July 20.
