A world record walk through the skywalks
The Central Iowa chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation raised $1.5 million in this year’s Walk to Cure Diabetes, more money per capita than any other walk in the world, the foundation said in a news release. Mary Hunter, executive director of the Central Iowa chapter, said 9,000 people participated in the walk through the downtown skywalks.
