ABI holding RV tour to recognize Manufacturing Month

142 wordsAll Latest News, ManufacturingThe Iowa Association of Business and Industry is holding an RV tour of manufacturers across Iowa Oct. 3-14 as part of its manufacturing careers awareness initiative Elevate Iowa. The Elevate Iowa Manufacturing Tour will begin in Des Moines with Gov. Kim Reynolds signing a proclamation recognizing October as Manufacturing Month in Iowa. The tour will stop at manufacturing companies, colleges and schools in several communities, including Ames, Ankeny, Marshalltown, Waterloo and Fairfield and conclude in Altoona with ABI’s annual Iowa Manufacturing Conference. Business stops on the tour include 3M, John Deere, Emerson, Musco Lighting, Vermeer, Kemin and Agri Industrial Plastics. The tour aims to connect students and educators with Iowa manufacturers and highlight career opportunities in the manufacturing industry.
