Accelerated Ag Technologies receives $25,000 grant
An Urbandale-based biotech startup company has received a $25,000 grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority for development of a new technology to increase seed yields. Accelerated Ag Technologies will use the Proof of Commercial Relevance grant to test its PowerPollen process, which will enable increases in parent seed yields and the improvement of genetic purity prior to hybrid production of maize. The company’s strategy is to increase the reliability of the world’s seed and grain supply through innovation and science.
