There will be a free showing of the award-winning documentary, “Age of Champions,” on Oct. 14 at Fleur Cinema.

The film tells the story of five competitors who sprint, leap, and swim for gold at the National Senior Olympics.

In partnership with AARP, the filmmakers are touring 20 states and launching more than 1,000 community events around the country. AARP Iowa also will host a Q&A with the filmʼs director and an extraordinary Des Moines senior athlete.

To wrap up the event, the Iowa Senior Games will honor all local senior athletes, who will attend the event in uniform and wearing their medals.
