The Iowa chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Iowa) has elected its 2011 board of directors, which includes three local architects. William Anderson, an architect at Neumann Monson Architects P.C., will serve as a director, and Brian Schwartz, an intern architect at Invision Architecture, will serve as an associate director. Rick Seely, associate principal at OPN Architects Inc., was elected president of the organization. Matt Ostanik, president of Submittal Exchange, and Linda Schemmel, a planner with the city of West Des Moines, will also serve on the 2011 board.
