AIB College of Business has declined to renew the contracts of nine of its 23 full-time professors as the school loses enrollment and prepares to close in June 2016. The teachers were informed Friday that they wouldn’t have a job in the fall. AIB reported spring enrollment of 763, down from 905 a year ago. No first-year students will be admitted in the fall. The school plans to donate its Des Moines campus to the University of Iowa, which will take over in July 2016. UI will run a Regional Regents Center at the site, potentially offering degree programs and certificates  from all three of Iowa’s public universities.
