AIB College of Business will have a groundbreaking ceremony at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday for a $1.5 million expansion of its 12-year-old activities center. Construction is expected to be completed this fall on additional locker rooms, training space and offices for the school’s sports programs, which include basketball, golf, volleyball and cheerleading. In 2007, AIB started competing again in women’s basketball as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. In 2010, the college became an associate member in the Midwest Collegiate Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
