AIM Workforce Index finds stronger job scene in Iowa
Iowa’s workforce index was eighth-best in the nation in March, up from 14th in February, AIM reported. The nonprofit group, which issues a monthly look at workforce health with the help of Creighton University, also found the Iowa’s job openings were up 6.5 percent in March. The greatest number of online job openings were in management, followed by sales and healthcare positions. As a percent of employment, the largest numbers of online openings were in finance, engineering, automobile sales and services positions. Iowa’s overall workforce index climbed to a healthy 72.2 from 65.3 in February.
