The research park, a nonprofit entity connected to the university, is owed roughly $480,000 in uncollected rent. Research Park Director Steve Carter said the park considered evicting Etrema but gave the company, a 20-year tenant, more time as it sought to find new markets for its products. He said the company made “irregular” payments of its $17,000 monthly rent.
