Ames National reports quarterly results
Ames National Corp., a publicly traded bank holding company, reported net income of $3.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, a 3.8 percent increase from the same quarter last year. Ames National, which operates banks in Ames, Ankeny, Boone, Story City and Marshalltown, reported assets of $1 billion, with stockholders’ equity representing 13 percent of assets. Loan activity increased 3.5 percent to nearly $425 million, due primarily to an increase in commercial operating loans, and deposits increased 9.3 percent to nearly $782 million, according to a news release.
