Ankeny supports Accu-Mold expansion
The Ankeny City Council took action yesterday to support Accu-Mold LLC, which announced plans to expand its operations in Ankeny with a $5 million, 40,000-square-foot facility.
The expansion will create 43 jobs. The city will provide a combination of tax abatement and rebates for 10 years as part of the Local Business Investment Policy. Accu-Mold will be the first local company to access the policy.
Accu-Mold, which specializes in molding small plastic parts for the medical, micro-electrics, automotive, optics and defense industries, has been based in Ankeny since 2001.
