Grinnell College is accepting free applications through March 15 for its inaugural Grinnell Summerfest, a June 6 festival featuring juried pairs of artists working across disciplines. For example, pairs could be a musician and  a painter, a botanist and a poet, or a chef and an historian. Each selected pair will get a $1,000 honorarium and on-campus housing if needed. Participants must pay for their own travel to and from Grinnell. The event will feature six collaborative presentations and performances selected by a committee, as well as lectures and workshops by the college’s faculty. The festival will be free and open to the public.
