Three Greater Des Moines achitecture firms received  “excellence in design” awards from the American Institute of Architects Central States Region:

• INVISION Architecture Ltd. received the architecture honor award for the Northeast Iowa Community College Industrial Technologies building located in Peosta, and the the merit award in the interior category for Stacey’s Prom, Bridal and Lingerie in Urbandale.
• BNIM received the interior honor award for the BNIM office located in Des Moines.
• Substance received the unbuilt honor award for the Principal Riverwalk Pavilion & Pump Station in Des Moines.

Projects were judged on a variety of features, including unique design, originality, extended use attributes, sustainability, budget and use of environmental surroundings.
