Nine Des Moines neighborhoods will host events led by local artists this summer. Each event is a co-creation of neighbors and artists and all are free to attend. All events are supported by Invest DSM, aiming to engage residents in the art experience. The neighborhoods cover six special investment districts, designated areas in Des Moines where strategic investments are concentrated to strengthen middle-market neighborhoods’ health, vitality and stability. “Des Moines’ neighborhoods are full of creative people,” said Invest DSM neighborhood development manager Christopher Civitate. “Invest DSM supports connections with resident artists because we know it strengthens neighborhoods.
