Availa Bank announced that Dave Zimmerman will be taking over the role of Council Bluffs market president. Zimmerman is a 19-year Availa Bank employee and he has 25 years of banking experience. He began his career in banking in 1997 as a part-time teller, holding a few different positions before going to Council Bluffs Savings Bank in 2003 as vice president. As a native of the area, Zimmerman is actively involved in several organizations in Council Bluffs, including serving on the boards of the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce, the YMCA, the Union Pacific Railroad Museum and Vodec. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Council Bluffs program.
