141 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentNeumann Monson Architects has received the Impact Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects Iowa for its work on Cross Park Place in Iowa City and an Impact Merit award for the Fort Des Moines historical renovation that converted barracks and stables into affordable housing. Ethos Design Group received an Impact Merit award for its work in the conversion of a car wash into Freedom Blend Coffee in Des Moines. Substance Architecture received an Impact Honorable Mention for Capturing an Artist’s Vision: A Monumental Journey, a sculpture designed to honor the 12 African American attorneys who formed the National Bar Association in 1925 in Des Moines. The Impact awards are new for 2019. They recognize team members for an architectural project specifically designed to benefit social, humanitarian, community or environmental causes. The awards were presented during AIA Iowa’s spring conference.
