Blank Children’s Hospital has been awarded a $50,000 infrastructure grant that will support pediatric cancer research initiatives. Dr. Wendy Woods-Swafford, a pediatric hematologist/oncologist and medical director of Blank Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, received the St. Baldrick’s Foundation Infrastructure Grant. The grant will enable the hospital to achieve a number of goals, including a partnership with Visiting Nurse Services for a Community Outreach Navigator. “We are proud of Dr. Woods-Swafford’s leadership and of the commitment of the entire Blank Children’s pediatric cancer team,” said Dr. Steve Stephenson, president and chief operating officer of Blank Children’s Hospital. “It’s exciting that this grant will directly support our children and families.”
