Two events are planned to mark Gov. Terry Branstad's emergence as the longest-serving governor in U.S. history, which occurs Dec. 14, his 7,640th day in office.

Two events are planned to mark Gov. Terry Branstad’s emergence as the longest-serving governor in U.S. history, which occurs Dec. 14, his 7,640th day in office. A Capitol open house and a privately financed dinner are planned. Details on the tour are available online at www.legis.iowa.gov. Information about the dinner to benefit the Iowa History Fund is available online.
