Branstad to announce major wellness initiative
Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds plan to announce a multi-year, public-private wellness initiative on Wednesday.
The press conference, scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Science Center of Iowa, will include an announcement of “major initiatives and a substantial private investment to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation,” according to the governor’s public schedule.
Branstad has made improving the overall health of Iowans a goal of his administration and has sought businesses’ support to launch initiatives.
