Gov. Terry Branstad will open Drake University’s landowner conference with remarks at 8 a.m. The “This Land is Your Land” event, which is focused on providing information to absentee and non-operating landowners that will help them better understand how to enhance and protect their properties, their investments and their legacies, costs $40 per person and includes lunch. It will take place at Drake’s Olmsted Center at 2875 University Ave. Craig Cox of Environmental Working Group, Ed Cox of Drake Agricultural Law Center, Anita O’Gara of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Mark Gannon of Gannon Real Estate and Marvin Debner of LWBJ Financial are expected to speak.
