Bravo Greater Des Moines today announced that Sharon Krause has been elected as its new board president. Krause takes office immediately for a one-year term.

Krause, owner of organic sheep ranch Dalla Terra Ranch, takes over for Suku Radia. She has served on numerous board and leadership positions, including with Children & Families of Iowa, United Way of Central Iowa and Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines.

Bravo also announced the election of two officers. Michelle Gowdy, senior manager of community investment at Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., will take over as vice president. Chris Hensley, a Des Moines city council member, will take over as secretary.
