Brenton Skating Plaza to open for season Nov. 15
Brenton Skating Plaza, Des Moines’ outdoor ice skating rink, will open for its 14th season on Friday, Nov. 15. The plaza, located along the Principal Riverwalk at 520 Robert D. Ray Drive, is open seven days a week, including holidays from Nov. 15-March 1. Brenton Skating Plaza will host a tree-lighting ceremony, Santa Claus and an ice carving demonstration during the Historic East Village Holiday Promenade on Nov. 22; information on hours is available online.
