Broadlawns Medical Center will hold an open house on Aug. 18 to provide the public with tours of its newly renovated facilities.

The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the medical center, located at 1801 Hickman Road.

Gov. Terry Branstad and Broadlawns CEO Jody Jenner are scheduled to speak at 5 p.m. Among the renovations that have been completed to date are a new main entrance, surgical waiting area, emergency and radiology departments and a newly constructed medical office building.

The project is part of a three-phase, $45 million modernization effort for the acute-care community hospital. To read a related Business Record article, click here.
