Polk County Supervisor Robert Brownell has been named the Clive Lions Club's Citizen of the Year. Brownell served as Clive's mayor from 1993 to 1999 and has been a member of the Polk County Board of Supervisors since 2000.

Brownell will be presented with the award on Feb. 28 at Walnut Ridge, 1701 Campus Drive., Clive.
