The Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation is accepting applications from high school students for its Business Horizons (BH) program, which provides an understanding of economics, the free enterprise system, entrepreneurship and a range of careers. Students work as teams to develop products, run a mock business, develop a marketing plan and present the plan to potential investors. BH will take place July 24-28 at Simpson College in Indianola. Students whose applications are received by April 22 pay $275. After that date, registration is $350 until July 1 and is $1,000 thereafter. Applicants receive priority consideration if they apply by April 22. If a student is an excellent candidate but unable to pay the registration fee, send an email to info@businesshorizonsiowa.com.
