Longtime car dealer Gene Gabus died Saturday at age 69, The Des Moines Register reported. Gabus’ car lots handled four brands and employed more than 400. Included were Charles Gabus Ford, Kia of Des Moines, Des Moines Mitsubishi, and Toyota of Des Moines. He took over the family businesses following the death of his father, Charles, in 2008.
