Central Iowa Shelter & Services to hold groundbreaking
Central Iowa Shelter & Services will host a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of its new facility at 1420 Mulberry St., next to its current location.
The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. on July 20. The planned 40,000-square-foot homeless shelter will provide emergency housing for 100 men and 50 women, and will also include 38 units for Section 8 (federally assisted) housing and 19 units for veterans.
