CEO Hutchins to leave Delta Dental
Donn Hutchins, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. announced Tuesday that he will retire after 13 years in his job.
Hutchins plans to leave in mid-2013, but will remain until his successor is chosen.
During his tenure, the company more than doubled its membership. He also supervised construction of its new corporate offices in Johnston, guided Delta Dental’s transition from being a division of Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield into a successful independent company in 1999, and led the inception of Delta Dental of Iowa’s Public Benefit Program.
